Handala
Handala
Handala, created by the Palestinian cartoonist Naji Al-Ali, is a symbol of steadfastness and defiance in the face of adversity.
With his back turned to the viewer and his hands clasped behind him, Handala represents the Palestinian refugee experience and the longing for justice and return to homeland. Despite his youth, Handala exudes wisdom and determination, serving as a silent witness to the ongoing struggle for Palestinian rights.
